We are happy to deduct a 3% credit card fee from our rates for any client paying with cash or check.

Nurturing Traditions is dedicated to ensuring that every family has access to high-quality, professional lactation care regardless of their financial status. When coverage through the Midland WIC office is not an option, we offer a discounted fee structure for families with demonstrated financial need. Parents must arrange a discounted rate prior to the date of their consultation.

Section 2: Eligibility and Verification Requirements

Clients must provide documentation to confirm eligibility for a discounted rate. Eligibility is valid for six (6) months from the date of verification.

1. Medicaid Recipient Discount

This discount is available to clients actively enrolled in Medicaid.

• Required Documentation: A clear copy or photo of the client’s current Medicaid ID card or a recent letter from the state verifying active enrollment.

2. Low-Income Discount

This discount is available to clients who do not have Medicaid but can demonstrate financial need based on program enrollment or income level (generally aligning with 200% of the Federal Poverty Level).

• Required Documentation (Must provide ONE of the following):
  • Current enrollment letter/card for a government-funded assistance program (e.g., WIC, SNAP, TANF, etc.).
  • The first two pages of the most recent IRS 1040 tax return showing an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) that meets or falls below the income limits based on family size, as outlined below:

Note: The actual FPL figures change annually. We use the most recently published FPL guidelines from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to determine income eligibility.

Section 3: Confidentiality and Compliance

• Confidentiality: All financial documentation provided for verification purposes will be handled with strict confidentiality and securely stored or destroyed once eligibility has been confirmed.
• Client Responsibility: It is the client’s responsibility to inform Nurturing Traditions before scheduling the appointment that they wish to apply for the discounted rate and to provide the required documentation in a timely manner.
• Payment Terms: Payment for services at the discounted rate is due at the time of service.
